Amy Glodde

 Child Nutrition Director

Castro Valley, CA – (August 14, 2024) – At the August 14th board meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education took action to select Amy Glodde as the Child Nutrition Director. 

Ms. Glodde began her career as a nutritionist, working for twelve years with the Alameda County Public Health Department. She spearheaded a new nutrition education program and facilitated hands-on learning through a K-12 science curriculum during this time. As a director and consultant in various school districts, she oversaw the National School Lunch, After School At-Risk Supper, and Breakfast After the Bell Programs, providing meals to over 35,000 students. Ms. Glodde played a key role in expanding scratch-cooking programs by conducting assessments and offering recommendations and resources to school districts. 

Ms. Glodde earned her Bachelor of Science in Human and Consumer Science from Ohio University and her Master of Public Health from San Jose State University.
