Castro Valley Unified School District Appoints
Nia Rashidchi
for
Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services
Castro Valley, CA – (April 26, 2023) – At the April 26th board meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education took action to appoint Ms. Nia Rashidchi to the position of Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services. Ms. Rashidchi is replacing Dr. Reimann, who was recently selected as the Superintendent of Hayward Unified School District starting July 2023.
Ms. Nia Rashidchi has a long-standing career in education encompassing 28 years of experience. She has served as our Director of Educational Services for the last five years. Before coming to Castro Valley, her experience spans in various leadership roles, such as teacher, principal, coordinator, and executive director. Her leadership role has also included Assistant and Associate Superintendent for 10 years.
Ms. Rashidchi earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Organizational Communication from the University of the Pacific and her Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration and Supervision from San Jose State University. Ms. Rashidchi continues to expand her knowledge as she works on her doctorate in Leadership for Social Justice at Cal State University East Bay.
